In Planto, you play as a tiny but tough little plant fighting for survival in a bizarre garden where the gardeners want you gone.





Why? Who knows. But you're not going down without a fight.

Battle through waves of deranged gardeners in a colorful cartoon-style world that mixes 3D environments with 2D pixel art. Shoot, run, heal, and use powerful abilities to survive wave after wave of garden mayhem.

 

You can collect different power-ups during the game. The strawberry increases your firing speed, the chili makes you run faster, the healing fruit restores your health, and the nuke instantly ends the current wave.

Sometimes the gardeners get stuck or wander off, so you'll need to search for them before the next wave can begin.



There's a high score system to challenge your friends, but if you’d rather keep your results to yourself, that’s totally fine too.

With its playful visuals and fast-paced gameplay, Plantastrophe! is fun to jump into again and again.

This game was created by students at HTK Academy as part of a game jam project.

Jason and Rasmus created the 3D assets and designed the map.

Anastasia, Angi, Josephine and Kevin worked on the 2D art and UI.

Lisa and Adam handled the programming, and Lisa also created the music and sound design.

The sounds were edited in Reaper, and some effects come from Pixabay.

The game was built in Unreal Engine 5.

Controls are simple: use WASD to move, left click to shoot, and press P or ESC to pause.
